The honest part

Most sellers are guessing.

Money comes in from Whatnot, eBay, shows and DMs. Money goes out for wax, shipping, grading, fees and supplies. Somewhere in the middle is your actual profit — and a spreadsheet you stopped updating in March.

Shep buried in receipts and paperwork
Did that break make money?

Ten spots sold, one case bought, platform fees off the top. The stream was fun. The math never got done.

What did this card cost me?

It came from a case, in a trade, in a lot of forty. Its real cost basis is buried three transactions back.

What do I tell my accountant?

April arrives and you rebuild a year of buying and selling from screenshots, payout emails and memory.

FAQ

Good questions.

What does it actually do?

You scan cards into an inventory that remembers what each one cost you. You sell them anywhere — Whatnot, eBay, a show table, a DM — and log the sale in a few taps. Card Shepherd subtracts the cost of the card, the fees, the shipping and the supplies, and tells you what you actually made. Breaks, grading submissions and expenses all feed the same number.

Do I need to be a full-time dealer?

No. The free tier is built for collectors tracking a personal collection and checking values. The paid tiers are for people moving enough volume that guessing starts to cost them money.

Is this just a spreadsheet with extra steps?

The opposite. A spreadsheet needs you to remember what a card cost when it came out of a case, what Whatnot took, and what shipping ran you. Card Shepherd already knows, because it tracked all of it as it happened.

What does the AI scan actually read?

Player, year, set, card number, brand and sport on raw cards. On graded slabs it also reads the grading company, the grade and the cert number straight off the label.

Does it work on my phone?

It was built phone-first, because that's where the work happens — at the table, at the show, mid-break. Add it to your home screen and it opens like a normal app.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

It stays yours. Downgrade and your records remain; you keep access to what you've built and can export it. Nothing is deleted because you stopped paying.
